- Always Greet Your Pet with a Smiling Face
Pet(Dog) are very sensitive beings & just like our Children’s they look up to you for everything and will respond as to our positive & negative emotions they are very great at interpreting the body language .Give them positive gestures as many times as possible. One interesting fact that I want to share there are no guilt factors in Dogs, so all that punishments & scolding from your side will go to waste.
- Look into your Pet’s Eyes
Some Vets suggest not to look in the Dog eyes but this is a myth. Eye are the mirror of the soul. According to ASPCA, if your dog is cheerful & relaxed, his eyes will be normal. But if eyes are larger than normal than your pet is stressed. Dogs often squint when they are unwell or in some kind of pain.
- Bonding through Activities with your Pet
As we bond with our kids through different kind of activities & experiences, so is the case of with your Pet. They need your time, activities & experiences. That bonding happens when you play, train, exercise with your four-legged family member. Dogs that are bonded are less likely to run away & their body language is calm & relaxed in your presence.
- Taking Care of their DIET
Always feed them a complete & balanced diet. To determine what is best for your Dog it is important to understand their dietary requirement is totally different from ours.
We love to think that we are bonding more when we share same meals that we consume but it is wrong to practice. Dogs have a different kind of anatomy compare to humans & their dietary requirement differs with their age group. DID YOU KNOW that dogs don’t need Vitamin C in their diet because they make their own? Puppies need 3 to 4 times more protein & zinc & almost 50 times more iron than a human baby!So baby foods will not meet a puppy’s nutritional requirements. It is essential for puppies to have the correct ratio of calcium & phosphorus to avoid skeletal deformities, particularly in giant breeds.
